We tried to tour out at Hidden Peak today and found the conditions tough. From the parking to ~7500 ft, where we turned around, the coverage was spotty at best with many shallow buried trees and rocks. Between 7400-7500 multiple people in our group experience whoomphs. This led to us digging a hasty pit and profiling and completing a CT before following our track back to the car. Most unstable on buried surface hoar, facets seem to be gaining strength deeper in the back, but crusts still exists as unstable interfaces.

Snowpack
Storm snow added weight to weak snowpack but seems to have come in right side up. PWL and shallow HS problems present greatest hazard.
