Quick report
We observed very small amounts (< 3 inches) of previous storm snow and little evidence of wind transport or wind slabs. We observed fairly widespread surface hoar of varying size up to 3mm in the area we traveled. We observed no cracking or collapsing. The persistent slab problem appeared to be improving with rounding of the upper portion of the facets in the lower snowpack and no reaction in our tests. No signs of instability observed.

Partly sunny changing to overcast. Temperature ranged from 35F at ~8400' at 1100h to ~25 at ~9700' at 1400h. Calm to light and variable winds. No precipitation.
Snowpack
Aprroximately 2-3 inches of new snow from 12.30 storm. Bottom third of the observed snowpack is Fist to 4 Fingers hardness facets with rounding occurring in the upper portion of that third. Above this sits about a 1 foot thick Pencil to 1 Finger hard slab. The facets in the lower pack were unreactive to our tests.
