Did one run on the east aspect of the wawa hump above the lift. Warm tempatures and lots of wind and new snow made for poor skiing. Extensive cracking and some whumping above the lift. Foot penetration was to ground. I dug a quick pit at 2400m on east aspect. I found multiple generations of wind slab over faceted base and a decomposing rain crust on the ground. The 10 cm 1 finger wind slab failed CTE1 and the 25 cm of storm snow failed CTE4 WITH THE rain crust failing in the moderate range. Skiing was better on the open lifts than in the backcountry.
