Today we ski toured at Hankin. We enjoyed boot top trail breaking in the 15cm of new snow. At treeline, we found no new avalanches, just good skiing. In very steep areas we could get the top 5cm or so of snow to entrain as a loose dry point release but this was very small. Poor visibility prevented us from investigating the alpine. Temperatures rose throughout the day, and the new snow became moist. Temperatures reached nearly 2 degrees at 1430m. At treeline, the new snow was not wind affected at all. Skies were overcast, it was snowing lightly, and we had just a light breeze on the treeline ridge above Run 8, with otherwise calm conditions. We did not have any snow pit results.
