Good coverage for early season and relatively short lived alder bashing off of the pipeline. HS ranging from 110-170 at 1500-1900m. Up to 220 in immediate lee. Open TL has 1-5cm windskin, with pockets of isolated windslab on some features. Ended the day on grabby 3cm sun crust on south asp. Good snow preserved in trees.
Snow conditions were: Crusty, Wind affected, Powder. Weather conditions were: Warm, Sunny. We rode: Mellow slopes, Sunny slopes, Open trees. We avoided: Steep slopes. Riding quality was ok.
Avalache Conditions: Slab avalanches today or yesterday.
Nov 18 MFcr down 50-70 in most spots at TL Test pit dug at 1800m, East facing. Several resistant results but mostly non-planar breaks down 40 on 4F DF. Snow bonded well to 3cm MF crust down 70.
