Spend the day digging pits around the sunhine area.
All observations were made in TL.
Started off with a full profile on a W aspect. site was wind exposed, planar, sparse trees. primary problem layer was the Jan 24th which was very prominent. Depth off the layer changed drastically from 25cm on the left side of my test wall to 60cm on the right side. Test results got harder with an increase in depth
After the full profile I moved onto a S aspect where the wind and solar had made a change. The whole snowpack was mix of facets and MFcr top to bottom. Two CTNs
Lastly I dug a test profile on the a N aspect. site was open with no trees around. planar, 25 degrees. Results here surprised me. Heard a whoompf when I walked onto the slope and dug down to find a perfectly intact Jan 24 SH layer down 30. Got two CTVs and an ECTPV.
