Quick Observation
Great day out in the pass. Absolute gong show with 16 people all heading for the same run. Circus must be in town. 5-15cm of new snow overnight in Loop Brook Bonney drainage. Closer to 50cm of fresh dry cold snow once we dropped off the dome. Tapers with elevation but deep all the way to valley bottom. About 20cm at valley bottom overlying wet snow. Strange to see dry slough covering big distances then causing wet slough on hard turns with little cookies pulling on unsupported slopes BTL. Snowpack felt good with sections of more moisture which felt that it had tension to the new snow. No new avalanches overnight. All the debris piles were covered in 5-15 cm. Unsupportive pillows sheared on hard turns. Phenomenal skiing to be had when the visibility is good. Flat light bigtime today.
