The Creston Wild Stallions were spotted loose in Stagleap Park again. ~20cm new snow within 48h, dug a pit then skied down SW aspect of Buzz ridge: Amazing conditions, 16cm of fresh powder on well healed snow pack, ~0*C. Skinned up Missile and skied E aspect down: Sun affected and warm resulting in stickier powder but great riding. Then skinned back up to Cornice and skied ridgeline down to parking around 5pm: Storm moved in and wind affected from NE, challenging at top but once within trees skiing excellent. No whumpfing, no observable avalanches.
28H resistant break at 66cm, surface hoar. We observed ~11 layers from pit dig between 1 finger and pen penetration down 136 cm.
