Burstall Pass

Busy day back at Burstall. Lots of folks out to stretch legs. Snowpack was early season variable. In the trees we probed over a m with a pole, in the open it was 70~cm like the weather station shows. We stayed on sheltered slopes. Feeling with a pole it was either powder to base, or occasionally we found a 10cm~ denser layer at the base. Ski carefully, lots of sharks and no real mod pack yet. Other areas looked to have wind affected so we did not venture out.
