Quick Observation

A few natural releases evident in the area - crown depths looking about 30-50 cm deep (from afar).

Snowpack

Dug a couple pits on NW aspect that resulted with some shear & sudden failures in the upper 20 cm (CTE7 down 10cm and CTM12 down 20cm). Excitingly, the compression test also produced a classic and stylish typewriter pop n' drop down 90 (CTM14) on late Nov facet/crust duo. Lots of big surface hoar crystals forming and persisting into treeline. Upper 10 cm of snow was light and fluffy and sluffing around easily in steeper terrain at all elevations bands. Although we were only really on N/NW aspects, there were some small (size 1) natural releases observable on solar aspects.
