We dug a profile just below the col between Buzz's ridge and Cornice Ridge. The bottom of the snowpack is very faceted and weak with several thick crusts. We had a sudden collapse between two crusts in large facets. We had a few whumpfs during the day which we suspect was these facets failing between crust layers. There we also had some easy resistant results down 15cm on a layer of stellar. Another touring party indicated that they triggered a small size 1.5 on an east aspect down 20cm.
