Skied in Connaught Ck today around Balu Pass. ~15cm snow overnight. Unsettled stormy weather all day, snowing most of the day with steady moderate west winds effecting the snow. Wind effect was visible throughout the area. Storm snow would turn moist on solar aspects as soon as the clouds thinned out but skiing remained good.
Snow conditions were: Powder, Wind affected. Weather conditions were: Cloudy, Cold, Stormy, Windy. We rode: Alpine slopes, Mellow slopes. Riding quality was good.
Avalache Conditions: Slab avalanches today or yesterday.
On our way down we witnessed a skier trigger a slab near the ridge top of Cheops North 6 avalanche path (Niki's Notch area). No involvement, skier remained at the top of the slope. Can only suspect windslab because of the new snow and steady winds we saw all day. Did not interact with the party so take the details with a grain of salt,
