Nuggets of White Gold

Found some nuggets of white gold in Proserpine with up to 30cm low density snow in more sheltered areas below ridgetop. We dug at a few elevations around treeline and while faceted layers were easy to identify in test pits, they appeared to be bonding well and we had no results in snowpack tests. We found great riding in steeper treeline terrain and observed tracks from the weekend showcasing aggressive riding in steep, rocky features with no evidence of instabilities.

Snow conditions were: Hard, Powder. Weather conditions were: Sunny. We rode: Dense trees, Open trees, Steep slopes. Riding quality was good.
