Quick report
Cloudy to start the day at TH around 10:30am. About 3 inches of wet snow from the parking lot to upper elevations. Little drier up on the ridge, but not by much. The crust was not as stout in the lower portion of the mountain. It turned bullet proof on the ridges. Fun skiing until it got a bit sticky in the afternoon left around 2pm
Avalanche
Intentional skier triggered storm slab from the top of rendezvous around noon. Bed was a melt freeze crust. It was very easy to trigger avalanches on marginal slope angles today. It really didn’t take much of a pitch to initiate it. Slow to move. But it did entrain a good amount of snow.
