Just poking around on the Skyline Drive a little bit today. I came to a location that had steep slopes above the road. I didn't want to go underneath them and I was turning around to avoid going underneath the slopes when they avalanched. I was 200 to 300 feet away. While the avalanche was relatively small, the debris still piled up pretty deep. Certainly enough to bury someone.
