LARGE SOLAR TRIGGERED AVALANCHE Frequent Flyer, which directly affects the typical skin track up into the Connaught drainage went naturally, size 2.5. The avalanche buried the summer trail skin track and came to within 2 meters of the valley bottom skin track. The avalanche was directly observed by the Visitor Safety crew while digging a profile in the area. The avalanche occurred at 1335 (PST) and initiated from steep, South facing, rocky terrain. The VS crew had a good visual of the start and deposit zone and no one was involved in the avalanche, though 2 ski tourers had just gone under the path only minutes before. A transceiver search was conducted at the toe of the debris just to be sure no one was involved.
