Report from 1/1: Gusty winds and new storm snow. Low visibility. The terrain is still thin and rocky with variable wind drifting. Pretty good stability at this elevation thanks to plenty of anchors and good bonding with old snow. New wind drifted snow was sensitive and slabby. Report from 1/2: 5-6 inches storm total at the resort. Snowing most of the day and winds have died down for now. Tracks from resort goers were found in the bowl to the north of the ridge suggesting that north facing is stable at the moment here. Found pleasant turns and good stability from 7-8000' west facing. Terrain is filling in nicely but caution is needed.
