Toured up into Red Pine and then over to Maybird. In the Red Pine trees we found ~3-4mm surface hoar, which was being actively destroyed by sun/wind in most areas. Significant wind loading above treeline. Many a shooting crack was seen. When we skinned along the top of a small steep rollover in Maybird, it avalanched below us and propagated 200ft forward along the feature.
