Striped peak

We found a less reactive in tests than other recent observations in the area.  Our first pit was on a SE facing slope at 6100ft and the 12/19 and 12/17 crusts were very well bonded and acted as a single crust.  The snow was largely unreactive (CT 12 on the Grinch crust and ECTX).   On a N aspect at the same elevation the snow was similarly unreactive (CT13 in the new snow and ECTX) although the grains were more faceted.  The W aspect was wind scoured to bare rock from 6200ft to the summit at 6300.  Around 5700 ft the sunny weather started to have a more significant effect, and numerous roller balls (natural and skier triggered) were observed.
