Quick report

Hoped to get above the clouds today but Blue stayed covered at least until we left at 1330. We skied low-angle moist creamy snow on the southwesterly aspect, and noted the warm temps throughout the day. An extended column test at 6600' on an easterly aspect (of Blue) propagated with 27 taps 42 cm down under a 5 cm melt freeze crust. Facets were found under this crust on a westerly aspect at the same elevation. Extended column pits on north and west aspects at the same elevation had non-propagating failures within the top 40 cm, and the westerly pit had 25 cm less snow than the other two.
