Quick report
Toured up the FAA, dug a quick pit at 6000' on a North aspect in a sheltered location. Found 20 cm of new snow on top of a the 10-15 mm surface hoar from last week. Surface hoar was intact but had a thin crust on top of it. In an extended column test it failed just below the surface hoar with moderate force but did not propagate. No other ECT results deeper in the snowpack.
