The ridge was in a fog bank, with mostly cloudy skies, it snowed for an hour or so, and the sun even tried to peak out.
Snowpack
The new snow was settling quickly, but still easy to travel through above 6,000 feet. The new snow was bonding to the crust below pretty well, but could change quickly if the sun comes out and temperatures increase. South and East faces were noticably dencer and more sun effected.
The new snow is sitting on a firm crust which could be a good slide-plane. Even though bonding between these layers is getting better, it's still a good idea to pay attention to the interface and look for signs of instabilities.
