Paulina Peak

I had a lovely Christmas day winterwonderland snowmobile ride up to the summit of Paulina Peak today! It was lightly snowing all day today. Near the lake (6400ft) there is about 20cm of snow and this increased to an average of 65 cm at the summit (7900ft). Snow was significantly wind effected with drifts up to 90cm. Coverage in the trees and in the bowls is still fairly shallow with many trees and rocks poking through. There may be enough snow drifting to build up to a wind slab avalanche problem. Definitley enough snow on the road to ride to the summit!
