I kicked a cornice at the top of Tumalo bowl (skier’s left) which caused ~20’ propagation in the shallow wind slab (15cm) on storm snow. R1D1. I then did a ski cut and intentionally triggered another R1D1 on a similar layer. These were pretty small but I suspect the layer will be more consequential with more snow on top and in more consequential terrain. Winds were moderate from the west at the time we skied and strong from the west by the time we left to ski down the west side at dusk.
