Quick report

Calm winds. No wind scouring. No sign of wind slab at Tumalo elevations. Jumped on two small test slopes. The first W facing did not react. The second NW facing was a steep convexity and did slab and slide with enough force.

Snowpack

At 0730 dug a pit at 7700' NNW facing. 25 degree slope. 110cm snow depth. 15cm of fist hardness, then mostly 4F hardness with a layer of 1F 30cm down and a crust 1F 50cm down. I thought the layer 30cm down might fail but it did not. CT15BRK 15cm down CT17BRK 23cm down ECTN14 23cm down ECTN18 15cm down No propagation in ECT Continued tour to summit and on E facing ridge top. No cracking observed. Hand shear on E facing did not indicate much of a cohesive storm slab.
