Right-side-up snowpack with 2 cm wind crust, heavy winds on Saturday. Did not fail on compression test. There is a sugary weak layer at the ground on N facing (and perhaps other) aspects, with the whole overlying snowpack acting as a block. Where tested, it was 125 cm deep and unlikely to be triggered but could be shallower in other locations. Last photo is from Nov 10 and shows areas off the summit where the October weak layer is likely still present.
