Traveled up the ridge to approx 8000 feet. Skied NNW slopes slicking to <30 degree slopes. Snow was wind affected, dense softish snow on protected areas
Dug pit at approx 7600 feet. NNW aspect 32 degree slope
CT 15, top 25 cm on layer within the storm snow weak to moderate shear slab was somewhat consolidated.dense snow
CT 22, top 60 cm on former surface facets from cold weather before recent storm. Weak to moderate shear. Somewhat consolidated slab but broke apart easier than the surface slab
also had a moderate shear about 100 cm down but did not react to CT.. CTN
appeox 140 cm total snow depth at pit site. Lots of shrubbery in the bottom 40 cm
