<p>Throughout the are we saw a few small point releases from recent new snow. </p>

A few layers of moderate concern, but generally good snowpack structure. it was interesting to note well-preserved stellar crystals near the upper melt-freeze crust, and a layer containing well-preserved graupel about 86cm down in the snowpack. We completed multiple CT and ECT stability tests in our pit, all were quite stubborn or required hard force to produce results.

<p>Lots of wind effect near ridgelines at upper elevations. winds were strong enough today to transport snow and continue to add to already large cornices, wind drifts, and wind slabs. </p>

Today we did a long tour starting on a very stout melt-freeze crust on a South aspect, these were true slide for life conditions.  Ridgelines were riddles with large cornices and wind-drifted snow from prevailing winds. Sheltered northerly slopes skied very well on consolidated new snow from our last two storms. Surface snow on all aspects had large 2.5mm surface hoar. We were able to identify a few moderately concerning weak layers in a generally good snow pack structure. See pit profile.
