Quick report
New snow at 6,000ft, carabiner for scale. Maybe 4 to 5cm dense new snow by 0800.
The northerly aspects (south side) of Jumpoff Canyon at 0800. The cliff/tree line in the photo is approximately 6,000ft.
Snowpack
Rain transitioned to snow starting around 5,500ft and was accumulating as low as 6,000ft. New snow on bare ground; around 0800 accumulation was approximately 4 to 5cm. Snow was dense, stellars and graupel. Pretty much anything you picked up created a snowball. Crampons balled up pretty much immediately.
