Dug a test profile targeting the December drought layer (buried Jan 4) on a NW aspect at 9320 as part of a motorized Pro 1. HS was 95cm. The slab above the December drought layer was about 20 cm thick (1F to P hardness) and the layer of concern was 40 cm below the surface. Compression test failed on cutting (CTV) down 45cm in what looked to be some preserved surface hoar (see photo). We then got an ECTP 13 down 45cm in the same layer as the compression test.
