Our group was traversing a fairly flat less than 15 degree area in a bowl in Farmington Canyon below but well out of avalanche terrain when we triggered a slide from about 300yds away up slope. Initially we didn't know the face had slid until we were traversing back thru the zone about 10-20min later.
