Quick report
Classic spring day; climbing ice crust (crampons 100% necessary) in the morning and relaxing for an hour on the ridge in the sun, waiting for the corn harvest. The southerly aspects of GOS were the first to soften, and provided a couple of enjoyable descents. It is clear that Gully #4 had a very sizable avalanche in the last cycle. Trees of at least 6 inches in diameter snapped like toothpicks.
