Quick report
We travelled up Gulf of Slides Trail, and skied in the Sanbox, Gully 2, and Gully 3. We stayed in our hiking boots for 1.8 miles, up to about 3700 feet. We hiked up all three lines between 10:30 and 3:30, and never got much more boot penetration in the snowpack past the toes, even after the sun had been baking them all day. Crampons were very much appreciated. Despite that, all three skied very well on nicely corned snow. The Sandbox had lots of open lines, and a very large and beautiful glide crack at the top spanning nearly the entirety of the center runs. Gully 2 had open water and a roughly eight inch wide glide crack a little above halfway up, but it was possible to zigzag between the two. Gully 3 had no obvious concerns.
