Skier triggered avalanche witnessed in the Main Gully of GoS at approximately 1:15p on 2/1/2025. Although difficult to fully see due to wind blow snow, a skier entered Main Gully on the (green) route, and faced snow soft snow that had been previously been skied as recent as 5 minutes prior. Skier than triggered a slab of approximately 4”-6” of snow, that ran about 2/3 of the way down Main Gully (red), finally stopping about 250yd above the skin track (purple). Skier was able to ski down under their own power, and was never buried or carried by the snow. - After the slide had concluded, the remainder 1/3 of the newly fallen snow had remained stationary at the top of Main Gully.
