- Wind Loading
Around 8" new snow. Everything but due North and sheltered northerly was affected by the sun. I was out late afternoon and skies were broken with occasional snow flurries. My main concern was wind loading, the wind was moderate from the NW and was transporting snow. Skin tracks from earlier in the day today were filled in throughout the afternoon on ridgelines. New small cornices were forming as well. Didn't see or feel anything big enough to get a person in trouble unless above a cliff. Any wind slabs I found were pretty soft and not too reactive. Also saw some dry loose naturals in steep northerly, but they were manageable when riding.
