There was enough volume and new snow instabilities here that we had to travel cautiously in steep terrain. I suspect the handful of triggered soft slabs formed in areas kissed by the wind, though evidence of wind drifting was subtle and difficult to read, so we traveled like it was a storm slab day.
Consistent cracking on a density change in the new snow. Cracks shot further, up to 6', in isolated drifts.Weather
