40-50 cm of snow in red cone bowl (N-NW). Sugary faceted snow made up most of the snowpack, with a 5 to 15 cm wind crust / slab on top from recent extreme winds and new snow. Ya surprised to feel collapsing and cracking, not a big deal as snow pack was shallow and simple terrain. Something to pay attention to as we get a longer stretch on no snow and cooler temps, will be a problem on N NW faces. East side had sugary snow but no collapsing due to shallower snow pack and less wind crust. Overall skiing was enjoyable!
