We noticed a few whumpfs....both in a sheltered clearing at 5500' and then again on the ridge at 6200'. We found settled medium density snow on NW aspects with some tree bombing evident above 5800'. We skied fairly steep open slopes on NW aspects, one at a time and saw no evidence of instability.
