Quick report
We toured up Republic Creek to West Woody. No collapsing or avalanche activity observed, very minor cracking. The wind raked the whole area yesterday, with a half dozen broken trees, broken branches, and pine needles all over the snow surface.
We dug at 9750' on a west aspect. The snow depth was 120 cm with fist hard facets making up the foundation. We got an ECTP 16 on a wind slab layer 18" down and an ECTP20 on the basal facets. The coverage is really nice in there.
