Amazing snow as we traveled in trees terrain between 5600 and 6800 ft on all aspects. 20-30 cm dry overnight snow on a soft, deep but supportive base. Moderate visibility allowed us to see signs of wind effect on ridgelines, but little evidence of winds in the forest. Rode short slopes as steep as 40 degrees with no signs of instability beyond sluffing. Only signs of instability were when isolating soft slabs with parallel side hills. Some of that activity broke soft slabs chunks at about 30cm down.
