Quick report

We mostly toured on northerly aspects today and found variable surface conditions including breakable crusts, firm wind-affect, loose facets, and consolidated fresh snow. The recently buried crust/facet interface is prevalent wherever we looked although not very reactive in instability tests. Travel conditions are sub-optimal and generally challenging currently as we're still stuck down low and touring through thick alder for the most part on the GTSR No obvious signs of instability noted today.

Snowpack

We found the recently buried facets around a near-surface crust (will keep an eye on), a very solid mid-pack, and buried well-developed facets near the ground in our pit profile (5000' N 38* slope) - image attached.
