Clear skies from the Lake to the summit and across to the Park. Light winds above 6500'
Snowpack
Probing the open sw face while ascending to 7800' I did not find any drift deeper then 2.5 ft. We felt comfortable skinning directly up The rain crust was buried half way down in the snowpack. The open slope sw slope mostly skied as wind blown powder transitioning to a more spring like mixture at the bottom.
