Day off snowboarding in the lost Johnny drainage.
We found great riding in terrain sheltered from the wind. Leeward slopes had wind slabs 12-16 inches thick that were reactive to our weight.
We closed terrain that we had initially wanted to ski. Once we got near the ridge it became obvious that any travel on the east facing(leeward) slopes would most likely result in triggered avalanches. We opted to stick to low angle, sheltered, and south facing slopes. They rode great and provided a great days worth of powder skiing.

Wind was active all day. Snowfall was only an inch throughout the day.
Snowpack
Wind was the key player today. Scouring was taking place on south facing slopes and cross loading was actively happening on southeast slopes.
