Quick report

Snowpack layers, wind blowing snow off trees and big gusts on ridges end of the day, solar open aspects are crusty and snow balls/twigs/needles would slide down hill to bottom, top 2-3” had hi SWE and quite dense Trench obs, snow out obs, ct and etc done, found snow layering similar to what’s described in the snake river range

Overcast, started warm in low 30’s, cooled to 20’s around lunch, snowed off an in between 11 and 4, got windy and cold…high teens about 4, beautiful sunset from 4 to 7, dropped to teens at dark, trails were frozen to concrete

Snowpack

High SWE in the first 2-3” of the upper snowpack, found firm layers in mid snowpack ranging from 1F to P hardness, the top of the lower snowpack is 1F to P with small grains but base 6-12” is large grain facets up to 3 mm but surprisingly firm at 4F to 1F.
