Quick report
2-3 inches of recent snow above 9,000’. The new snow was moist up to 10,000’ due to warm temperatures. Roller balls and shallow wet loose point releases from cliffs at 9,400’.
Calm conditions at 10,000’. I didn't observe any wind slab development. The new snow was well bonded where it wasn’t wet.

Snowpack
Snow pit on a NE facing slope at 9,600’. Stability assessment with regard to January drought layer: High strength, fair structure (2 out 5 lemons), still potential for crack propagation on facets that are rounding.
No propagation on the 2/24 hardness change down 35cm during an Extend Column Test.
A Propagation Saw Test on 1mm facets from January down 80cm resulted in crack propagation with a saw cut that was less than 50% of the column length. PST 42/100 END. No propagation on the JDL during an ECT. These facets can propagate a crack, but it would probably take a very large trigger with the snowpack structure observed in this pit.
