Soft sastrugi on the ridge top, 1-2cm sun crust, settled powder with surface facets. Wind slabs on summit were unreactive.

Looked for Jan 1 crust/buried surface hoar at 8,000' in sheltered drainage (exit of Banana) and found none. 

1m at 8000', 1.5m at 8500'
