Barbers Point is a frequent flyer. NE facing, 40 degrees with significant fetch. We checked out the crown of the R3D2 which ran naturally yesterday and intentionally triggered the other attached avalanche (R1D1, 50cm down, 100' shooting crack did not ) while walking out. This layer is likely in play all across shady aspects at Togwotee Pass. Todays wet snow and rain event may help stifffen the upper slab once the colling trend begins in a few days and make the weak layer more stubborn to triggered.
