Overcast with light winds, light snow. -8C. Overall minor wind effect-some in the trees, but mostly on open SW-W terrain. Dug a test pit at 2350' on W aspect. Total snow depth 175 cm, about 4 cm of new snow. Some strong over weak layering, with two obvious facet layers about 40 cm and 70 cm down. No result on extended column test. Targeted the layer of facets 70 cm down with a propagation saw test, PST 58/100
