We observed this avalanche on Thursday, December 11. Strong winds out of the northwest blew for 12 hours on Saturday night into Sunday morning. Eric traveled this route on Sunday, December 7, and did not see any slide debris along this path. This slide must have occurred after that. As of 6 AM on 12/11, strong winds from the northwest blew for a continuous 72-hour period. The avalanche most likely occurred during this wind event, and the debris looked relatively fresh.
