Ascending Memorial #1 today, we observed what appeared to be a recent, natural wet slide. Photo 1 is a picture of one of the largest slides. There were smaller slides (~6" x 5') along climbers right as well. We thought that the morning sun had heated the rocks on the north side of the chute, causing these slides. It was also clear that there was a lot of wet slide debris under the most recent storm snow (expected).

Also, for what it's worth, we also observed evidence of a BIG avalanche in the apron of Memorial 1/2. See photo 2. I don't think it has been reported this season, but the debris was evident and the snapped trees showed fresh wood.
